Aakhad 5.0 Lands at Sayaji Kolhapur This August
Ten days of Mutton Sukka, Tambra Rassa, and full Aakhadi heat
Sayaji Kolhapur is hosting the Aakhad 5.0 Food Festival at its Blue Lotus restaurant from August 3 to 12, 2026. The menu spotlights Aakhadi region specialties: Mutton Sukka, Kala Mutton, Chicken Lonche, Mutton Lonche, and the iconic Tambra and Pandhra Rassa.
The Aakhad belt, known for its fiercely distinct Kolhapuri cooking traditions, rarely gets a dedicated platform at a hotel property of this scale. General Manager Mukesh Rakshit said the festival is designed to deliver an authentic experience of Aakhadi flavors, traditions, and culture.
