Kathmandu's Jimbu Thakali Opens First India Outpost
Nepal's mountain kitchen lands in Gurugram with jimbu lentils and gundruk
Jimbu Thakali, a Kathmandu favourite since 2016, has opened its first Indian outpost at M3M 65th Avenue in Gurugram this August 2026.
The menu anchors around its signature Thakali thali, jimbu-tempered lentils, fermented gundruk, timur pepper, and seasonal sides. Beyond the thali, expect buckwheat fries, chicken choila wings, momos, and timur chicken. The space leans into its Himalayan roots with brick walls and Newari-inspired woodwork.
Ekdum sahi move. NCR has seen Tibetan and Northeast Indian food inch toward the mainstream, but a dedicated Thakali restaurant with a decade-old Kathmandu pedigree is a different level of credential. Watch this one fill up fast.
